Liberia Orphan Education Project (LOEP) Opportunities

This year you can give children of Liberia the opportunity for education.  By giving to LOEP you have four ways to help a Liberian child become an educated citizen of a peaceful Liberia

You can donate on your own behalf or you can give in someone else's name.

Donations can be made using PayPal and all donations are tax-deductible in the USA.

School Day Pack

Your gift will provide a student with the basics - pencils, paper, ruler, crayons – in a pack of her own to take to school every day.

$5.

Sponsor a Teacher

Teacher payrolls in Liberia’s cash-strapped orphan schools are unstable and frequently there is not enough money at the end of the month to pay salaries.  Teachers have to find a day’s work for a day’s pay outside of the classroom to feed their own families.  Your gift of a month’s sponsorship will give the teacher a dependable income and help her/him stay in the classroom every day.

$35.

Give a bag of rice

With the global food crisis, the cost of rice has risen steeply in Liberia, which is dependent on Chinese exports of its number one staple food. Liberians eat rice every day, and its supply is the most costly burden at every orphanage. Your gift of $50 will provide rice for an orphanage in need, which will produce over 240 meals' worth.

$50.

Teacher/Classroom Supplies

Your gift of $75 will send a classroom kit and a teacher resource kit for 25 students and their teacher in our partner orphan schools.  The kits are shipped directly to the schools and distributed to teachers who struggle valiantly with so few supplies to teach children who are eager to learn.

$75.

However your gift finds its way to a LOEP partner, you can be assured that it will have a lasting impact on educational opportunities for many children.

LOEP is committed to helping Liberian orphans become educated citizens of the world.  Liberia is a nation of just over 3 million people according to UN statistics.  The chilling fact is this small struggling nation has a quarter of a million orpahans.
