LOEP Projects
LOEP has made a commitment to partner with two orphanages in Liberia and the Red Cross of Liberia. The commitment to the orphanages is to provide assistance with educational needs for the children who live there. LOEP sends medical supplies to the Red Cross to be used by that organization for programs that serve mothers and children.
Orphan School Sponsor a Teacher LOEP underwrites educational opportunity for Liberian orphans by sponsoring teacher salaries at Children's Relief Ministry (CRM) orphan school. The CRM orphan school serves not only the children who live at the orphanage but also serves as the neighborhood elementary school for local community children. Eleven trained, dedicated educators teach more than a hundred students for the shockingly low salary of $35.00 a month. Cost to sponsor one teacher for a year: $ 420 Cost to sponsor one teacher for six months: $ 210 Cost to sponsor one teacher for one month: $ 35

Medical Support for Infants and Children
Discarded-but-useable infant formula and pediatric medical supplies are donated by Warren Memorial Hospital through special arrangement with LOEP. LOEP collects, stores, packs and ships the formula and supplies to the Red Cross of Liberia and orphanages in Monrovia, Liberia. Volunteers with the Red Cross and contacts with the U.S. Embassy in Liberia insure that all shipments are distributed as directed by LOEP. All barrels also include rice, dried beans and other food. This can be a life-saving resource in Liberia where more than 70 % of children under five years old are malnourished or starving. Cost to sponsor barrel shipment: $200 Fred Rogers Creator Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Childrens' Advocate | Children's Relief Ministry (CRM) houses and educates children orphaned by Liberia's 14 - year war. The orphan school at CRM serves residents and children in the surrounding community. Eleven teachers teach 500-600 children in grades K-6.
